Welcome back

I launched Speel3k in the early 2000's, back when the internet was the wild west and AOL was king. It was a beautifully rebellious time. We could craft our own identities, posting everything and nothing, just for the hell of it. The internet was a raw, unfiltered canvas.

Now, that canvas has been corrupted—degraded by a relentless push to monetize every click and corner. Speel3k is my rebellion against this digital decay. It’s an attempt to break away from the noise and build something real again.

Facebook has become Mark's personal advertising and data-harvesting kingdom. MySpace was fun while it lasted, right before it spectacularly self-destructed by selling out. And Twitter, X, or whatever the fuck they call it tomorrow, is a cesspool of visual vomit, hatred, and bigotry.

I genuinely used to wonder what it would be like to read people's minds. Then Twitter came along. Hard pass on that.

Instagram WAS fantastic, but fuck... what a hell hole that is now. Every third post is an AD. I'm done. I just hope one day the internet circles back to what it was, because eventually, what's old is cool again. Remember that.
